Govt to launch operation in Mohmand and Bajaur

LAHORE: The government has decided to launch a military operation in the Mohmand and Bajaur agencies to maintain the law and order situation, Aaj TV reported on Saturday. According to the channel, the decision was taken at a meeting presided over by NWFP Governor Owais Ahmad Ghani and attended by officials from the Tribal Areas in Peshawar. The meeting agreed to launch an operation for the restoration of peace in Mohmand Agency and Bajaur Agency, the channel said. The channel added that important decisions for improving the law and order situation in tribal and semi-tribal areas were also expected at another meeting to be held on Monday. daily times monitor
